Where to Eat in Whistler: Breakfast Edition

Whistler, British Columbia, is known for its outdoor adventures, but the food scene here is just as exciting—especially when it comes to breakfast. I may not ski, but there is one thing I love to do on a skiing vacation, and that’s eat. If you’re looking to fuel up for a day on the mountain or just enjoy a relaxing morning, I’ve found seven breakfast spots that you won’t want to miss.

Seven breakfast options in Whistler Village

Dubh Linn Gate

Dubh Linn Gate is the breakfast option that I can’t stop thinking about, causing me to count down the days until I go back to Whistler. It is a traditional pub with a killer breakfast menu. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere made it a great spot to start and end our stay in the mountains. The chefs balanced the food food perfectly, making it rich and flavorful.

Purebread

If you’ve got a sweet tooth in the morning, Purebread is a must-visit. This bakery stacks tempting pastries, from gooey cinnamon rolls to buttery croissants, baking them fresh and displaying them like a feast for your eyes. Their variety is almost overwhelming, but you really can’t go wrong with whatever you pick. Don’t forget to grab a strong cup of coffee to balance out the sweetness for this breakfast in Whistler!

Zog’s

For a quick breakfast right next to the Whistler gondola, Zog’s is a great place. I’ve eaten here before due to its famous poutine, but its breakfast sandwiches also hit the spot. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and was sandwiched, along with gooey cheese, in a soft, fresh bun. It’s a great stop if you’re on the go and need a warm meal before hitting the slopes.

Crêpe Montagne

Crêpe Montagne provides a cozy European vibe in Whistler Village for breakfast. Their crêpes that are thin, crispy, and filled with delicious savory or sweet options. I couldn’t resist trying their slalom crêpe with ham, cheese, egg, and tomato. I added on a side of hollandaise sauce (a must!) and it didn’t disappoint. For dessert lovers, the caramel and strawberry crêpe is the perfect way to indulge.

Hunter Gather

For a more rustic and hearty breakfast experience, Hunter Gather serves up farm-to-table fare that’s fresh and flavorful. I had their salmon benny, which was packed with local ingredients. The laid-back atmosphere creates a perfect spot to relax. It’s ideal for enjoying a more substantial breakfast before a busy day in Whistler.

The Green Moustache

If you’re looking for a health-conscious option, The Green Moustache is a wholesome, plant-based café that offers fresh, organic meals. I always feel like I’m about to catch a cold while traveling. To prevent this, I stopped by daily for their “flu shot,” which includes lemon juice, ginger, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper. I also grabbed smoothies for the kids and a green juice for me!

Garbo’s

Garbo’s is known for its gourmet burgers, but their grab-and-go breakfast offerings are filling and delicious and get you on the slopes quickly.
